European Success Throughout 2008

2008 has seen a very positive increase in the sales of Herbert Machinery abroad.

A major pack house installation in Poland, electronic sorters and washers to Canada, bag tippers and cleaning systems to Spain and multiple sales of high output 2000MP electronic sorters elsewhere in Europe are just some of the projects which contributed to a 25% export turnover figure.

Andy Hubble, General sales Manager comments;- “The level of export orders in 2008 has been excellent and confirms our commitment to grow this part of the business as a positive move for the future. Sales to new markets such as Poland and Canada are particularly pleasing and most of these orders are directly attributed to the hard work put in by our distributors. It is these distributors and agents who will be our eyes and ears in this current difficult climate, where every sales opportunity must be maximised.”

Several key products have been identified as having good potential for export markets and during 2009 this equipment is likely to form a major part of the Herbert Strategy for both existing and emerging export countries.
