Reorganised Rustler's secure additional business with Sainsbury
Produce World packers, Rustler Produce recently secured additional retail business giving them sole supply of onions for Sainsbury. To meet the new tonnage requirements Rustler Produce management team employed Herbert Engineering to carry out a major reorganisation of their existing packhouse to assure the increased throughput. The project had the added complication of still having to supply regular produce to their major client throughout extensive refurbishment. Rustler reviewed the operational activities and equipment in an effort to reduce wastage and improve efficiencies at the Chatteris site. With multiple factors to be considered, and product specifications supplied Herbert Engineering was able to review and provide a number of options for Rustler to consider. The Herbert design team completed the layout working closely all the time with Rustler to give maximum efficiency and throughput with the new packing equipment. Numerous operational and timeline factors were involved and Nigel Potter, Herbert's Installation Manager is extremely proud of the final result the to the customer.
