Wyma Demonstrations for potato polishing NOW AVAILABLE

Herbert Engineering is the UK distributors of the Wyma machine for potatoes which is a revolutionary type of washing for potatoes. The Vege-Polisher handles over 80% of carrot and potato washing in New Zealand and Australia and is now with Herberts support rapidly changing the UK market too.

The cleaning is carried out using traditional product agitation. The barrel is formed by brushes which are contra rotating giving a polish rather than a wash. Testing proves it removes rhizoctonia and skin staining allowing samples to be upgraded from class 2 to premium product with obvious financial benefits.

Potato Peeling

Using different, unique brush technology and after extensive trials Herberts can confirm that peeling vegetables with a Wyma brusher significantly reduces waste against other alternatives. The appearance of the finished product is also enhanced as the brushes do not break down the vegetable structure as much as other traditional methods.
