Herbert Systems takes off with official launch event and test loop developed for customers to trial their product

Rod Herbert Company Chairman and special guest Wing Commander Ken Wallace last month officially launched Herbert Systems at the company Head Office and manufacturing facility in Cambridgeshire. According to Rod Herbert “the increasing demand on the global economy for parcel, logistics, and baggage handling continues to grow at an alarming rate as do labour costs.

The Herbert Systems team set out to tackle this major challenge as well as addressing daily maintenance and operational issues incurred by system planners, managers and engineers. They have worked closely on the front line with operational and maintenance teams to better understand the weak links in the handling chain”. Already well known for their innovative designs and specialist belting in the baggage sector, Herbert Systems recently developed four new products which have serious applications for baggage, parcels, books etc. Rod further comments “It is imperative that we demonstrate our unique product range to the market place. We therefore designed a test loop system to allow operators and engineers to come and see for themselves, this proved extremely useful for new and existing customers”.
