Due to the exciting expansion in Herbert Systems, which designs and develops baggage and handling systems within the Aviation industry, we are looking for a Design Engineer to join our successful team.
Duties will include a wide range of activities including creation of 3D models, concept drawings, design risk assessments and Bills of Material. It will also involve detailed manufacturing drawings and administration of document revision.
The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering discipline, a good working understanding of Solidworks advanced functionality and experience of conveyor design.
The candidate will also need to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team in analysing issues and developing solutions. Great at achieving timescales whilst having a flexible approach and positive attitude are essential. Experience of Airport/Baggage design would be desirable.

Working as part of the Service Team you will be expected to undertake a variety of engineering and electrical tasks. You will be working away on customer premises to install and service agricultural equipment. Experience of installation and service work is essential.
The pay range is £11 - £13 per hour dependent on skills and experience, plus overtime for a 40 hour working week.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a high level of attention to quality, self motivation, using initiative and flexibility in approach to work. They will need to be professional in all dealings with customers and support other team members.
